READING: Colors are everywhere again! It has been so fun watching everyone dress up in the color of the day! We loved making black cats and bats, white clouds, and green eggs. The green eggs were delicious! We are working hard on recognizing the letters of the alphabet! Any help at home is encouraged!! Continue working on these words with your child at home: a, I, go, to, me, in, red, see

LETTER OF THE WEEK: “Hh” will be the letter of the week starting on Monday, October 25. Please sit down with your child and discuss what sound this letter makes. Have your child cut out one small picture from a magazine or newspaper that begins with the letter “H.”

MATH: We are still focusing on the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. We introduced new math words of more and less. Can your child find what number is one less or one more? It is sometimes challenging!

HANDWRITING: We are still praciticing making frog jump letters and corner starting letters using chalkboards, magna doodles, and mats. Remember: all letters start at the top! The letters we are really good at making are F, E, D, P, B, R, N, and M. These are all frog jump letters! They start at the top and we have to jump back to the top to finish making the letter. We are beginning to make L, K, H, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z which are corner starting letters.

SCIENCE: We are investigating the different seasons of the year!
