Language Arts:  We are having a great time celebrating Dr. Seuss and all his crazy stories.  We are learning about Dr. Seuss the author, reading many of his best beloved books such as, One Fish Two Fish, The Foot Book and my favorite Green Eggs and Ham!!  Plus, many more!   We will also be enjoying various activities including, water painting, going on a class walk, making a room cleaning machine, learning turtle facts, researching zoo animals and much, much, more!

A big “THANK YOU” to all who volunteered to share their favorite stories with the Kindergarteners during Dr. Seuss week.

On Monday we will be starting the letter “Y”.  Please remember to look for one small picture that starts with the letter “Y”.  Look through a magazine or newspaper with your child and have your child cut the picture out. Keep those great pictures coming to school.  We are learning some great new words!

Math:  We are finishing Topic 11 (subtraction).  New words to review at home include: take away, minus, subtraction and difference.  The children are learning to solve subtraction word problems by showing the whole with counters and taking away some to act out the subtracting.
